Gazelle

Gazelle

As my friends and I see a zookeeper start to herd us all in for a drink, we try to make our way to the middle. This was where all of the water would normally be put. We have been thirsty after the large drought has passed, so this was a special moment for all of us. And then she left.

We waited and waited but for some unfortunate reason, she(the zookeeper) would not come. Had she gone to get more water? Has she forgotten something? These were the phrases you would hear my friends ask. After a few more minutes of murmuring and waiting, a different zookeeper came to give us water. But she looked very sad.

She just put the water there and then left. Our normal zookeeper normally would also sing us a song or tell us a story. But this zookeeper did not. I tried to get to the middle of the herd but my horns got tangled up with someone else. So instead I just gave up. I stood there in silence looking confused. I was confused actually.

Unlike my friends, I thought the worst. I thought I was being useless so I ran towards the gate. But then I saw her lying down on a bed. Then I was so sad, that I charged through the gate. As I did this, she started to sit up. I was shocked. I had rescued her from death. I ran back to my herd to celebrate.
