Kia ora Kiwi room Whaanau,
The Kiwi room was privileged to be visited by David from St John Ambulance New Zealand.
The children learnt lots of useful knowledge on this special visit and also had the experience of being in a real ambulance.
They were able to look inside the ambulance and learnt about all the equipment in it, including the sirens.
Some of us didn’t really like the volume of the sirens (we did learn why we need them though), but most of us had fun.
At the end, David asked if any tamariki would like to wear his special vest and helmet that he wears when there’s an accident; Jennifer, Milla and Logan were brave enough to wear these special outfits.
Thanks to David for his wonderful visit so we could learn about the importance of the Ambulance service in our community.
