After a short night of rest, the adventure started. With the first 7-hour drive to Wellington, things were already getting much more difficult. Though the wait for the ferry in the line of cars was worth the wait. The view, feeling and experience could not have been missed. It was only the start of an epic journey — a journey through the South Island. The plan was simple. Just drive alongside the seals on the East Coast until we hit the bottom, then just turn around and go back. The 4-hour ferry ride was a glory. View, service, you name it, they got it. It was just the beginning. As soon as we arrived at Picton, South Island was awe-inspiring. We had a good night’s rest to move on and keep exploring.
