CHRISTCHURCH
After a good night’s sleep, we woke up in the morning to another adventure. We had noticed we hadn’t gone on the world famous Christchurch Cram Tour. This ride was able to tour us along the entirety of Christchurch. We saw parks, shopping malls, history and even statues. This tour found us a few parks we went to and some great sights to take a memory of. That was the last bit in Christchurch. Lake Tekapo was our next stop and we couldn’t wait to get there.
LAKE TEKAPO
After our first encounter with Christchurch, we needed to calm down and go somewhere relaxing. Lake Tekapo was relaxing and the view was the best I have ever seen. Lake Tekapo was a small town, but the view could cover up the entire city’s problems. This small structure near the lake was a beauty, and of course, I’m talking about ”The Good Shepherd’s Church”. In the summer, lovely flowers bloom and fill the garden. In the winter, the view of the mountains and the lake is beautiful itself. The minute we entered the small town, we went straight to the church and looked at the glamourous view. That night was relaxing. While the day slowly turned into night, we checked into our epic hotel and wandered off to chill in the hot pools where the view was even better. Now just sitting in a hot pool doing nothing is boring, so the two men decided to go off to the nearby school where basketball came to play. The basketball court had a view no one could miss. Just even more relaxing than sitting in the hot pool, looking at the stars. After practising basketball and flying the drone around, we decided to leave as the night sky was upon us and it was getting dark, and we went back to the pools. There, we saw the night sky and there were many many stars in the sky. We went home and then ate dinner. We were all tired, but the day wasn’t over yet, so we had to finish it off. We drove back to the Church, but this time, not to look at the view, but to look at the beautiful night sky. We took photos of the stars and saw constellations an eye can’t see. But that was the end of another night. We headed home and went to sleep. We couldn’t sleep because of the next day. The next day, we were going to Wanaka.
