South Island – Day 4

WANAKA

However, before we went to Wanaka, we went to Salmon Farm. At the Salmon Farm, there was a small viewing area of the lake, and it was beautiful. We also bought some raw salmon to eat. The following morning, as soon as we were ready, we headed straight for Wanaka. We were going to see the world-famous, Lonely Wanaka Tree. This tree was beautiful and has a lot of history attached to it. This tree was a long drive away from our Lake Tekapo Hotel and the view at the tree was worth it. Without a doubt, this tree should be respected and given care. The tree breaches out from the shore and is found in the middle of the water. Some idiot decided to hang on to it and snapped one of the branches. This tree is so famous that it gets a lot of attention and many people memorise it with photos. The view is breathtaking. After multiple amazing pictures at the Tree, we decided to puzzle our minds at Puzzling World where every room was different and felt oddly satisfying. The rooms puzzled my mind and made me feel quite odd and sometimes confused. You had weird experiences and things that made you wonder, what is happening and why is it happening. My mind exploded as soon as we walked through the door. 3D paintings, confusing pictures and so many more sickening rooms. In the end, we decided to do something we were more familiar with and that is the maze. Every confusing place has a maze in it and the maze in this one was even more confusing. We had to go to all of the 4 towers and only after that you could walk towards the exit of the maze. Inside the maze, there were emergency doors. Use them and you cheated. We used lots and still didn’t finish. It was because we didn’t have enough time. We happily drove off to Queenstown after getting puzzled in Wanaka.

QUEENSTOWN

After going to Wanaka to look at the sights, Queenstown was our next destination. Without a doubt, we weren’t tired still and hadn’t had dinner yet, so FergBurgers was our next stop. The burgers were ginormous and a young child couldn’t finish a huge burger. The same company had started more shops as well, such as Ferg’s Bakery and Gelato. We couldn’t wait to try those out. Expectantly, there was a huge line for the burgers and the bakery. The gelato sold out. We waited in line to try the big, juicy burgers, and the burger was worth the wait. We decided to not go to the bakery that day, as there wasn’t much to it anymore. We went to bed and slept, as we needed to wake up early the next morning. We were going to Cardrona to go skiing.
