QUEENSTOWN/CARDRONA
The next day was looking beautiful the moment we woke up. The sun was up and it was the perfect weather to go skiing. Have you ever wondered what the perfect weather or day it was to go skiing? Well, the day we went described it all. Sunny skies, A bit of cloud, no rain, not even close to windy and just flawless. The ski fields were open and it wasn’t crowded at all. The snow was perfect and we were excited. Not only was I excited, but my board was too. It got so excited that it nearly broke itself. I was notified that my school teacher was there, but even though I was looking for them, I wasn’t excited to meet them. We rode around in the beginners’ area where we could practise our skills and level them up from good to excellent. I thought just skiing around in the snow wasn’t fun enough and that it was quite boring, so I set off to the ramps and started practising jumps for the first time. I now know how to do the POP hop. Later on, we decided to challenge ourselves and go up to the top and do the intermediate levels. We skied down slowly as we hadn’t done it before and were looking for the path. We found a sort of easy path which we went down joyfully and took some photos of. We had more fun up there than on the beginners’ track so we skied that track a few more times, before going to lunch and practising jumps at the beginners’ track again. I was pretty bored at the bottom, so without hesitation, I rode the gondola back to the top and skied down again. We were all pretty tired, so we decided to pack up and go home. As soon as we got home, the spa was our first destination as our bodies needed to warm up after a day in the cold. We went to bed happily, and that was day 5 of our journey.
