QUEENSTOWN/PARADISE/GLENORCHY
Everyone was very excited about this day as we all expected a trip to the Remarkable Ski Area, but after waking up to rain and wind, the weather was too bad to go skiing. Somehow in the early morning, my father peacefully drove to FergBakery where he brought our breakfast and we ate that to start our day. We decided to just simply go to the Queenstown Gondola, go up to the top, and peacefully play on the luge. We were all very excited about the luge but, the weather was still just too bad, and we gave up trying to go anywhere and in the end, found the perfect place to go and take a memory of. Glenorchy. This small red house was the only place we had been informed was worth taking the memory of, so we took some pictures there and noticed somewhere else in the distance. That place was Paradise. Paradise was simply just a road sign that everyone visits and it consists of an epic view just in the car. We were expecting glory, but we found a view no one else has ever seen before. We saw Paradise in the Winter. Paradise in the Winter felt like going to Canada and getting a tour of Yellowstone National Park in winter. I saw new things I’d never seen before like snow on trees, that view and how cold it was. I learnt that part of the Lord Of The Rings was filmed here. Inspired, we decided to watch the Lord Of The Rings when we got home, but first, we needed to eat. On the way back to Queenstown, I did some more research and learnt that Glenorchy was also another part where the Lord Of The Rings was filmed at. We were starving, but had no idea where we could eat! The look for the perfect restaurant for lunch had started and we were very hungry still. We found and concluded 2 possibilities. Taco Medic and Love Chicken. After several debates, we went to Taco Medic. We had lunch and decided to go shopping for a while and buy a souvenir. Then we had an amazing idea. We were going to go to the nearby basketball court. As soon as we started bouncing the ball on the basketball court, it started raining hard. We shot a few shots and then left to keep shopping. With nothing to buy, we left the shopping mall and went back to our hotel and started to watch the Lord Of The Rings. After watching a bit, we were tired so went to bed.
