DUNEDIN/NUGGET POINT
Even though I wasn’t feeling well, I was determined to finish the trip on a high note. We had to keep on going to Dunedin. On the way to Dunedin, we found NZ’s most southern basketball court. This was worth memorising. Rather than Dunedin, our first destination was Nugget Point. Nugget Point was a beautiful viewing area at the Nugget Point Lighthouse and the rocks down below are known as “The Nuggets”. To get to the viewing point, we had to walk for about 10 minutes. Though the walking was tiring, the final view was worth the pain. After taking several photos of the lighthouse and the view, we decided to go to Dunedin and have some rest. We were going to walk around the city and go shopping, but there wasn’t much to buy. In the end, we decided to go to the world’s steepest street. Baldwin Street. This single street was historical and famous. We took photos there and felt the steepness. Because of the hill, I started feeling sicker than before. After going up and down the hill several times in the car, we chose to leave and drove to the Octagon. On the way there though, we noticed we had passed the Dunedin Railway Station, and that was something we were interested in. It turned out that the Railway Station was under construction, so there wasn’t much to see. We drove to all of the churches and looked for a place to have dinner. We started looking for the best restaurant we could find at that time, but since my sister and I still wasn’t feeling well, we drove to the hotel, watched more of The Lord Of The Rings, and drifted to sleep.
