South Island – Day 10

CHRISTCHURCH/MOERAKI

That morning, I was already feeling much healthier. I was ready to carry on our adventure. Our next stop was Christchurch again. However, we must have gone to the famous Larnarch Castle. Inside was a very modern design and it was incredibly historical and interesting to walk and look around it. However, this time our first destination was Moeraki Beach. Moeraki Beach was a normal beach, however, the actual interesting part of the beach was the rocks. The rocks were as round as a ball and as smooth as silk. Though the beach was the main priority, we also had lunch there. As soon as we had seen the views and ate lunch, we were on the road again. Our next stop was Christchurch, and we were going to pass two small cities along the way. Oamaru and Timaru. Even though we didn’t have much to do in these two small cities, we had to memorise them in some way. The most obvious, going to the petrol station and fueling up. So after taking a photo with a fish statue and getting gas, we left the two cities and continued to Christchurch. By the time we arrived in Christchurch, it was already dark and nearly nighttime. That day, we didn’t do much in Christchurch, so we just went to bed. The following day, we were up early as the weather was terrible and we were trying to escape all the road closures. We drove past cities we had already been to like Kaikoura, so we didn’t stop there.
